In the summer, from roughly mid-May to Sept we play over on the other side of the railway in the ‘dog-free area’ - flatter pitches and nearer the pub.

And ‘gracing’ is the right word. We play games of between 5 and 8-a-side (depending on the numbers available) from 9am until 10.15, after which give the pitches over to the kids. In the summer we also play mid-week, usually on a Wednesday evening and usually on a different pitch that’s a little closer to the pub.

There are plenty of conventions and lores but there is only one rule - no sliding tackles.
