Tomorrow, Saturday 28th April, both the Broomwood Colts league teams will be playing in their respective age group cup finals. The matches take place in Norbury, the U10s playing at 10.30 and the U11s at 1pm. Results will be posted here.
You can also follow the teams in their league tables on the FA site. U11s here, U10s here. Tooting League
Each season Broomwood enter a number of teams to the London Saturday Youth League. This is an FA-affiliated league that plays on Saturday mornings at Tooting Common. This season we have had two Broomwood Colts teams, an under 11 (ie year 6, managed by Robert) and an under 10 side (year 5, managed by Peter). Each play against teams of their own age-group and look like finishing at or near the top of their respective divisions this season. Both have also reached their age’s cup final, to be played April 28.
Next season Robert’s team will be disbanding while Peter’s team moves up to be under 11s. Having spent several years helping Robert with his team I am planning to start a new under 1o team, made up from players in this year’s year 4 group at Wandsworth. The team will consist of 11/12 players and will play from next September.
