New season kick-off
The new 2009/10 season kicks off this Saturday, September 5th at the usual time of 10.30. The subscription for the season (Sept-May) is £30.
New members will need to complete a registration form and bring this to the registration desk this weekend along with a cheque for £30 (payable to ‘Broomwood FC’) for each child. Existing members do not need to complete a form but will need to confirm their existing details are correct and pay their subscription. Registration will take place over the first few weeks of the season - please try and bring completed forms/cheques with you to save time. You must be registered to play.
Note that you are not able to leave your children unattended by yourself or a guardian. This is a volunteer-run club, and we do not have the necessary status to care for unsupervised children. Children who are found to be there unattended will be de-registered and not allowed to take part for the season – no exceptions.
Because the club is run by volunteer parents we can only survive with new helpers joining each year. We always welcome extra help either reffing, building goals, baking cakes or collecting rubbish afterwards. We have 300 children of many ages, and the number of helpers per year group is too low at the moment. Please do not hesitate to step forward – you will get a very warm response, and maybe even your own whistle.

Rules
We start at 10.30.
We finish at 12.00.
Players must wear shinpads, proper football boots and appropriate kit.
The referee’s decision is final.
Children must be supervised at ALL TIMES.
Please give support and encouragement to ALL the children!
Broomwood is not a constituted entity and has no insurance cover.
Registration and payment must be made in advance.
By allowing their children to play, parents accept these rules.
Registration
All children must register before playing although we normally let kids try it out a couple of times to see if they like it. Registration for the 2006/7 season costs only £25 per person.
You will usually find the Chief Registration Officer, Simon Hawkes, in or around the green marquee with his fancy laptop
Kids must be supervised
Children playing at Broomwood must be be supervised by a parent or designated parent. This is very important as the club is not a baby-sitting service (which would charge a lot more..) and in the event of any injury to a player it is unacceptable to expect other parents to take responsibility.
Where and when we play
Broomwood FC plays on Wandsworth Common, in the south-east corner alongside Bolingbroke Grove. We play from 10.30 to 12.00 every Saturday morning from September to May.
